Last year, our donors, supporters, and generous partner, Cenovus Energy, helped make something remarkable happen.
Across 8 provinces, over 200 young people took part in BIG on STEM. Many of them are stepping into the world of science, technology, engineering, and math for the very first time. These kids didn’t just learn about STEM careers. They met mentors, asked questions, and saw themselves in futures they’d never imagined. They felt like they belonged.
Thanks to the generosity of supporters like you, and our partnership with Cenovus, the impact was immediate:
- 94% of participants said they felt more inspired to pursue STEM
- 90% felt more confident in their education and career goals
- 100% of Cenovus’s staff who participated called the experience positive and worthwhile
One mentee shared: “I learned so much about the steps and requirements needed to pursue a career in STEM… and it has given me the confidence to follow my passion for engineering.”
