Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada (BBBSC) is looking for a National Coordinator of Quality Assurance, Bilingual (French/English) who plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of the federation-wide Quality Assurance Program, including providing support to member agencies.

The BBBSC national office provides the Federation with support, resources, and guidance, including a national quality assurance program, pan-Canadian programs, centralized data-collection and shared technology infrastructure, and national fundraising and advocacy campaigns. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

In recruiting for the National Coordinator of Quality Assurance, we are looking for someone who can ensure smooth operation of the federation-wide Quality Assurance Program, including providing specialized support to member agencies. The role provides crucial logistical, administrative, and technical support to the National Team and assists in the review, revision, and development of tools, resources and Quality Assurance processes.

This is a 1 FTE (28 hours per week) position that reports to the National Director of Quality Assurance. As our National Coordinator of Quality Assurance, you will be responsible for:

  • Assist in the ongoing development and logistical support for the online Quality Assurance Review system;
  • Coordinate the development and revision of tools and resources;
  • Support research and evaluation initiatives;
  • Manage the receipt, storage and facilitated access of documents and information;
  • Communicate with member agencies by offering support and answering questions regarding the review process, online review system, and National Standards;
  • Assist in analyzing evidence using predetermined standards, matrices and tools;
  • Create and co-write reports using existing templates;
  • Assist in investigations; investigate agencies that are not following the standards, not adhering to by laws, not paying membership dues;
  • Providing specialized support to agencies;
  • Support meetings;
  • Work collaboratively across a multi-disciplinary team;

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

In addition to being a team player, quick learner, and analytical thinker the successful candidate will have the following Qualifications:

  • Bilingual (French/English) required;
  • University Degree, College Diploma and/or Professional Designation in a related field (i.e. Organizational Management, Evaluation, Quality Assurance, Administration, Social Work), or equivalent;
  • 3+ years progressive work experience in a related field (Accreditation, Program Evaluation, Organizational Management, Administration) preferred;
  • Experience using evaluation tools and/or reviewing and analyzing results of evaluations (i.e. Surveys, Evaluation Reports);
  • Strong communication skills in both French and English (Written and Verbal);
  • Advanced Office 365 Suite (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, One Drive); Advanced MS Office Suite (Excel, Word);
  • Advanced online application management systems (i.e. Survey Monkey) preferred;
  • Strong organizational and time management skills;
  • Experience managing large amounts of data and documents;
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving and project coordination skills;
  • Ability to analyze, prepare, and present formation in a clear and concise manner;
  • Superior team player and collaborator;
  • Experience working with community-based children- and youth-serving agencies preferred;
  • Enthusiasm for role and ability to work independently and reliably.
