Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada (BBBSC) is seeking a National Partnership Coordinator to support the Fund Development and Marketing team. This role assists the team in performing marketing, stewardship and general administration functions as it relates to National partnerships and related commitments. The role will also focus on coordinating corporate partner activations for marketing activities and Network engagement ensuring that brand guidelines for all parties are followed.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada enables life-changing mentorship relationships to ignite the power and potential of young people. With 90+ member agencies serving more than 1,100 communities across Canada, each year we help about 32,000 young people access the transformative benefits of mentoring relationships with caring, trained volunteers. Our national organization provides services and programs to our membership agencies to assist them in their work with parents, caregivers, school communities, mentees, and volunteers.

Our staff and volunteers support diverse young Canadians by providing a safe passage through childhood. We help children overcome adversities and provide opportunities for them to grow and thrive as young adults.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING IN THIS ROLE?

This is a 0.5 FTE role with 20 hours a week that reports to the National Vice President, Fund Development and Marketing. As the National Partnership Coordinator, you play an important role in supporting the growth of partnership opportunities, provide administrative support to Cause Marketing and Marketing Communications.

Responsibilities and Duties include:

Project Management and Scheduling
  • Manage BBBSC Master Calendar for Marketing Communications (includes internal and external key dates and activities).
  • Monitor workback schedules to ensure materials are available for review by partner relationship leads and funding partners
  • Work closely with BBBS Partner relationship leads to track key information for Partner Marketing Tracking document and creative briefs:
    • Work with BBBSC partner leads to create unique partner recognition material;
    • Work with National Partners’ marketing contacts to secure content approval as needed;
    • Work with marketing team to create content for web, eblasts, social as required.
  • Work closely with marketing team to create, track, and deploy partner recognition content on external channels, including coordinating French language translation and transcreation, as needed.
  • Participate in team meetings to communicate key information and dates to national staff.
  • Support business processes including preparing draft agreements using approved templates.
  • Support partner recognition events and opportunities.
  • Attend virtual meetings with funding partners as required.
Cause Marketing
  • Provide administrative support for Cause Marketing including campaign:
    • Tracking;
    • Promotion;
    • Reporting to cause marketing partners and the BBBS Network;
    • Recognition.
  • Support Fund Development and Marketing team members to steward cause marketing partnerships
  • Research Cause Marketing opportunities and enquiries as identified.
  • Attend partner meetings as required.
National Campaign Management
  • Support development and distribution of deliverables to network, and media suppliers as needed for National Campaigns (BBBS Month, Year-end Campaign, Mentoring Month campaign, Evergreen Campaign etc.) and Government Relations.
Partner Relations
  • Implement and coordinate secured corporate partnership activations (such as virtual events) as assigned by the department leads.
  • Work with Specialist, CRM and Digital Campaigns to record activities in Mission CRM and accurate record-keeping.
  • Maintain the Master report back schedule for all partners.
  • Adhere to critical paths attached to partner activities, communicating with internal collaborators (National, the Network) and external partners.
  • Identify and research corporate opportunities for potential engagement or partnership opportunities.
  • Contribute to funding pipelines across sectors including corporate, government and private donors.
Team support
  • Provide backup as needed during scheduled vacations for team members (social media, simple web content posting, email campaign set-up, etc…)
  • Participate in Pipeline, Editorial and other team meetings to ensure projects are on track.
  • Support revenue and expense tracking for Fund Development and marketing activities.
General
  • Demonstrate the values of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada in all interactions with the team and external contacts.
  • Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

In addition to being a team player, quick learner, and an analytical thinker the successful candidate will have the following Qualifications:

  • 2 + years of experience in Marketing, Media or Communications training (Certificate/diploma level minimum).
  • Experience working within a Federated model, charities and/or not-for-profit organizations.
  • Experience with Microsoft O365 environment, including TEAMS, Forms, SharePoint, Viva Engage and Excel.
  • Experience using content creation software including Canva an asset.
  • Speaking/writing/reading fluency in English.
  • Willingness to support French language content.
  • Knowledge of marketing work back schedules, planning and tracking tools.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Experience in with social media platforms for business.
