Big Brothers Big Sisters of Regina and Area served 21% more youth through its mentoring programs in 2025 than in 2024, a milestone that Executive Director Dominika Krzeminska credits to her team, and describes as highly encouraging.
This past year, the agency focused on building relationships with schools and as a result were able to increase In School Mentoring match numbers, start new group programming and grow a high school teen mentoring program which is continuing during the current school year.
The benefits of this program were also recognized by an in-school liaison, who shared that, “We truly value this program and the support it offers our kids. Watching these connections grow has been wonderful, and we are so grateful for the kindness and time the mentors share with our students.”

“By being more intentional in the way we are reaching kids, it has also opened opportunities to explore other partnerships with community organizations where we can collaborate and provide mentoring programs for more young people where they are at,” says Krzeminska.
